School
Rozmai School of Dance classes are held Wednesday evenings at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral, located at 1175 Main Street in Winnipeg. Our spacious rehearsal facility allows multiple classes to run simultaneously while providing dancers with a comfortable and welcoming environment to learn and grow.
The dance season begins each September and continues through the end of April. The year culminates with our Annual Recital, traditionally held during the first week of May at Jubilee Place Concert Hall, where dancers of all ages showcase the skills and friendships they have developed throughout the season.

Creative Movement Classes
The Rozmai School of Dance is pleased to offer a Creative Movement class for children aged four years and older who are beginning their dance journey. This 45-minute class provides a fun and engaging introduction to Ukrainian dance through movement, music, imagination, and creative play. Dancers develop coordination, rhythm, confidence, and a love of dance in a positive and supportive environment.
Throughout the season, students build foundational dance skills while making new friends and discovering the joy of performing. At the end of the year, Creative Movement dancers proudly take the stage in Rozmai’s Annual Recital, celebrating everything they have learned during the season.
Rozmai School of Dance
Our School of Dance classes are designed for dancers aged 6 to 13 years and are one hour in length. As dancers progress, they build a strong foundation in Ukrainian dance through age-appropriate steps, formations, choreography, and performance skills.
Students are introduced to the rich traditions of Ukrainian dance by exploring a variety of regional styles, music, and choreography, while developing confidence, teamwork, and stage presence in a fun and supportive environment.
The highlight of the season is performing in Rozmai’s Annual Recital, where dancers proudly showcase the skills and accomplishments they have developed throughout the year.
Junior Rozmai
Junior Rozmai classes are 1½ hours in length and are designed for dancers aged 13 and older. Building on the skills developed in the School of Dance, Junior Rozmai introduces more advanced Ukrainian dance techniques, including performance skills, solos, partner work, lifts, and an introduction to ballet and barre.
Dancers are encouraged to develop their confidence, artistry, and teamwork while preparing for performances throughout the season. In addition to performing in Rozmai’s Annual Recital, Junior Rozmai dancers are often invited to represent the organization at the Ukraine-Kyiv Pavilion during Folklorama, providing valuable performance experience in one of Winnipeg’s premier cultural festivals.
Adult Dance Class
Rozmai also offers an Adult Dance Class for dancers looking to learn or return to Ukrainian dance in a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment. Whether you’re a beginner or have previous dance experience, we’d love to have you join us.
